Stuart started fishing at the age of 4 and began tying flies a short time later by using cotton out of his mom's sewing kit and feathers out of his pillow.
Since then, he has fished most of the rivers in Scotland and has travelled as far as Norway, Alaska, Argentina, Iceland and British Columbia where he has become obsessed with steelhead.
He currently designs flies commercially for Aquaflies and other brands, as well as being an ambassador for CND fishing rods and Next Cast fly lines.
He has written many published articles for worldwide fishing magazines and blogs. Stuart loves his time on the riverbank but when he can't be fishing, he is probably at his vice.
