I live in Putte, a small town in the centre of Belgium. I’ve been married for 50 years and we have two marvellous kids and four grandchildren. The two boys also became Fly Fishers and started recently Fly Tying.

I started Fly Fishing about 40 years ago and fished my first World Fly Fishing Championship in Poland in 1985, I was captain of the Belgian Team for years. After the Worlds in England in 2000, I finished as the Belgian captain and became a FIPS-Mouche board member. For 10 years I was President of FIPS-MOUCHE and now I am still on the board as Vice-president.

My favourite type of fishing is Dry Fly Fishing for Grayling, but I have tried many different forms of fly fishing. Lake fishing, river fishing, saltwater fly fishing, salmon fly fishing around the world.
As a fly tier I make fishing flies, not show flies and mostly dries for Grayling or Trout and Classical (or less classical) Irish lake wet flies. It is an honour to represent my country during the Irish Fly Fair and I look forward to seeing all you there!
