Join FRANK MOORS at the Irish Fly Fair
Born in 1946 I began fishing at the age of ten and have fly fished from the age of fifteen. I began tying my own flies at sixteen because I lost so many expensive shop bought ones. I fished for Coarse fish in my early angling days, only fly fishing to fill in the closed season. Fly fishing took over in the 1970's and is now my first love, although I do still enjoy going Coarse fishing after the Roach and more recently Barbel. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
I now concentrate most of my fly-fishing efforts on Salmon, Sea-trout and Grayling, preferring to fish for “wild fish” rather than fish which are artificially stocked. I do enjoy fishing the upper reaches of my local River Dane for Brown Trout, of which a percentage of the Brown Trout are stocked. My fly tying reflects my interest in Salmon and Sea–Trout and I have devised an anti-tangle rig for Secret Weapon type flies and have also created several new patterns for Salmon and Sea-Trout, notably the Jungle cock elver, he recently published Nitro shrimp and the Blue Alexandra.
