Bjørnar Skjevdal is a 54-year-old flytyer living a flycast from the famous Salmon River Orkla in Norway. But he ended up as a trout and arctic-char fisher in the mountains.

Bjørnar has worked for decades as an equipment developer for both Guideline and LTS. After the age of 45 he has used almost all his creativity on fly tying. He has been a protyer for Semperfli and Ahrex since 2017. But, he ties flies for one reason only. Not to impress on Instagram, but to make the fish take the fly. A dryfly with cdc or snowshoe rabbit is better than a fly without!”. In civilian life, he is a mathematics teacher at high school. He like to use mathematic knowledge both in fishing, and to understand fly-tying matherials. He is looking forward to discussing fishing, flies and fly-tying matherials with the people at the IFF.
