Piero cultivated his passion for fly fishing since the age of 12, when he began fishing with three wet flies wrapped with a wool body and a partridge hackle. The beauty of feathers and silks led him to become passionate about fly tying at 360 degrees, to the point of deepening the study of classic salmon flies, which in the Victorian era were made without the aid of a clamp and bobbin, in hand (Blacker, Tolfrey, Francis Francis, Kelson, Traherne, Hale, Tannatt ...). Since 2018 he is the owner of the KOPTER FLIES Company which offers top quality tying tools, made in Italy. He participates in the most important international fly fairs, where he combines his passion for in hand classic salmon fly tying with the presentation of his products.
