My name's Paul Black. Born and raised in Derry now living in Glasgow. I started fishing at the age of 5 with my father and started tying flies when I was 13. I've had the addiction ever since. Salmon, sea trout and brown trout are where my passions lie. I've fished all over Ireland and Scotland. From Lough Mask and Corrib right up as far as the Donegal hills. I often frequent the big Scottish rivers and lochs. But my real passion lies in the true wilderness of the country. The Highlands and lowlands, but especially the Scottish isles, in particular the Outer Hebrides. I love to fish in the most remote and wild parts of the country and in doing so have adapted my own style of traditional salmon and trout flies with my own unorthodox twist.
I am absolutely honoured and dumbstruck to receive an invitation to such a prestige event. I am really looking forward to The Irish Fly Fair in Enniskillen. Call past my Fly Tying station and say Hello.
