JOIN Paul Aston AT THE IRISH FLY FAIR
I’m Paul Aston from the Black Country (West Midlands). I started fly fishing and fly tying about 15 years ago when I joined the Worcester fly dressers. My main fly fishing is on still waters, from the bank or boat.
I enjoy fly tying as much as fishing as being so busy working I get more time to tie in the evenings. I like to any kind of flies, buzzers. Nymphs, dries, spiders, salmon and like to try new materials and techniques.
I also like collecting vices and materials the hard part is storing everything.
I am an instructor at my club in the national guild awards Bronze, Silver and gold and enjoy tying at game fairs, the CLA at Ragley Hall and Blenheim Palace and others. I also have tied at the BFFI on the Guild stand for a number of years.
I’m proud to be invited to tie at this year’s Irish Fly Fair and look forward to seeing you all.
