JOIN OWEN TRILL AT THE IRISH FLY FAIR
A proud man from the Claddagh, Galway and very privileged to have the Galway Weir on my doorstep, I tye flies for clear and peat-stained waters for all of Ireland and abroad. I enjoy tying up variations, as well as adding my own twist to the patterns, I also make up my own patterns. I am really looking forward to tying at The Irish Fly Fair and catching up with other tiers, friends, and the visitors to the IFF. Ranger is looking forward to it too and to the treats he will get.
Owen Trill from Claddagh, Galway has been fishing since the age of 10. He started with his late father on the banks of the Corrib Estuary. A few years later he began tying flies and was shown by Michael Costello in his house. Owen is one of Ahrex Hooks tiers. He has tied flies at the BFFI, the Dutch Fly Fair and in the past The Scottish Fly Fair, and The Irish National Show at Swords Dublin. Owen helps a lot of young people on the river when he's fishing and at the Galway Fly Tying Guild that runs during the winter months.
