1. FAVORITE SPECIES:
Peacock Bass. They pull harder than a steam train and smash streamers and surface lures harder than anything I have ever experienced. If you have asked me before my recent trips to the Amazon this fish would not have made the list at all. Now I’ve fished for these heavy hitting bad boys they are my number 1!!

2. PREFERRED GEAR:
909 LPx Predator and Vosso 6-8 908 LPx Coastal and Halo 8-9 Love the feedback you get when casting these rods. Easy to load up when you want to fire quick accurate casts at fast moving targets and a fast recovery. This enables you to holds tight fast loops and throw long accurate shots into tight spots. Light enough to cast easily all day with plenty power in the butt section to absorb the fight of furious hard fighting jungle fish. Perfect weapon for predator and saltwater fishing.

3. DESTINATION:
The rivers of the Amazon Rainforest at Rio Marie and Kendjam Lodges The wildest fish live in the wildest places. Only those who have fished in the jungle will understand just how truly special this eco system is. Beautiful beyond words and full of hard fighting species that will test both your tackle and nerve to the max.

4. GO-TO FLY PATTERN:
NYAP Popper. I love all forms of visual fly fishing. Witnessing the water explode and seeing your surface fly engulfed by a large Peacock Bass fly is the best. Period!
