Join Jan de Haas at the Irish Fly Fair

Hello everyone, let me introduce myself. My name is Jan de Haas and I come from a small town in the south of the beautiful Netherlands. I am married and have a son and a daughter and three fantastic granddaughters.

I learned to fish from my grandfather and father. In my younger years I fished with a bamboo rod. After a few years come the spinning rod into the picture for a new challenge: fishing for Pike and Perch.

At the moment fly fishing has been a passion for many years, I also tie my own flies, and I am regularly invited on several fairs in Europe to show the flies I tie. Something I also always look forward to is discovering new fishing locations with friends and we do that in Holland but also across the borders. Fly fishing in the Netherlands, mainly for pike and perch, and across the borders for trout, grayling, sea trout and last year had a great time in Iceland with a highlight fishing for Arctic char. These flies that gave me a great time there I will take with me to the Irish flyfair this year.

I would also like to say thank you for the trust and that I have been invited to this great show for the 5th time this year, thanks to Stevie, Elaine and Darryl I would like to see you on October 25 and 26 and we will all make it a great show, see you soon and kind regards Jan de Haas.
