My name is Ívar Örn Hauksson, a 44-year-old lad and I come from the land of fire and ice.
I've been a fly-tying enthusiast and fly fisher for over 35 years and I've done some private fly-fishing guiding in my domestic area of the stunning Westfjords. Currently I'm a PRO team member at Semperfli, Ahrex Hooks & Dr. Slick. I've been teaching and running charity fly tying lessons for beginners and advanced fly tiers.
Today I currently run the largest, the most viewed and popular fly tying and fly-fishing YouTube channel in Iceland. I've tied at shows in the USA, Europe and UK, such as EWF in Germany, Semperfli Roadshows in the UK and shows in Tampa, Florida.
My favourite target species is seatrout, brown trout and Arctic Char. I'll be tying and showing flies for those species. I learned fly tying and fly fishing from Iceland's most iconic tyers such as Jón Pedersen, Jón Sigurðsson and Börkur Jónsson.
