Dan started his fishing journey at the age of four with his Dad. Fishing on a local river called the Gowran river challenges were plenty. He went on to pass his APGAI exam and holds an extreme passion for fly casting and guiding, he takes out hundreds of international clients on the River Nore where he manages 3 miles that run through Mount Juliet estate. Praised for his simple teaching methods he is one of Irelands top guides and instructors, featuring in many fly-fishing magazines and newspapers speaking about his passion for fishing. Dan holds brand ambassador rolls with Cadence,Yeti and Fulling Mill as well as owning Troutfishingireland.ie Dan enjoys helping newcomers, kids and seasoned fly anglers. He understands the beginning of the angling journey can be a confusing time and helps many people on their journey. He writes a fortnightly newsletter called “The River Whispers” for inland fisheries Ireland which helps newcomers giving them some tips and also interviews some of his clients’ getting tips from afar.
