Peter Scheffler - Sweden

"Hello dear fly-fishing & fly-tying friends all over!
My name is Peter Scheffler I am born 1964 in Falkenberg, a small city on the Swedish west coast famous for the Atlantic salmon in the river of Ätran. I grow up 300meters from the sea, as a young boy me and my brothers we fish a lot. I am an all-round fly fisher searching for nice locations of salmon, seatrout, brown trout, grayling, Nordic char, brook trout, rainbow trout and pike. That’s the reason I tying lots of flies in classic styles and modern style, and also semi realistic flies.
I been fly-tying since 1999, and start with fly-fishing as a main recreation after a career in other sports such as karate, skiing, climbing, mtb, multi sports and so on. For the moment I live with my family in the city of Karlstad since January 2013, working as a rehabilitation consultant.  I am also engaged for fishing supervision, and a vice chairman in a fishing club, have also engaged me as a news editor web for a short period (one of the Swedish biggest fly-fishing magazine and their website - Allt om Flugfiske). I update my blog -  instant as possible each time I visit a water or tie new flies. My camera is my companion each time I visit new places on my travels, or just for a brief moment before/after work, document nice "Spotted ones", insects, flies or the nature in general.
Over a period of nine years I worked as a youth recreational leader, having lots of kids learning about fishing as a sport including: fly-fishing, fly-tying, and lots of other fishing methods over the whole year.
I have been invited as a flytyer at several fairs since 2010 for example the Swedish fly-fishing fair two times, the swedishing sportfishing fair three times, and lots of smaller fly-fishing fairs, each year I participate at approx. 3 - 6 each year. My wish and goal is to participate on several more in others countries in Europe.
Tight Lines!
