From the first day I clamped a worm hook in a vice grips, held between my knees and used sewing thread and crow feathers to tie my first "fly" I have been captivated by fly dressing!
Some 30 years later and some 10s of 1000s of flies later I am still as enthusiastic as ever! While today I tie every type of fly imaginable, I do however have a very soft spot for traditional Irish flies.
When not at the tying bench I'm as likely to be found wandering the shores of Carlingford Lough in search of Bass and Seatrout as I am on the River Fane or drifting on Lough Sheelin.
After a short absence this will be my 3rd Irish Fly Fair and one I'm very looking forward to! I look forward to meeting friends old and new!
