Keith McDonnell - Ireland

Keith McDonnell is an APGAI single handed casting instructor with the Game Angling Instructors Association. He is based in Dublin in Ireland and has been fly fishing for 25 years and a qualified instructor with GAIA for the past 10 years.
Keith has a great passion for targeting large river trout and has long been flying the flag for Ireland in the streamer fishing revival that has become so popular. He was one of the first guys in Ireland to be seen walking the river banks throwing pike sized flies at trout. Keith's fly tying is innovative and he consistently develops interesting patterns which continue to be successful in targeting predatory fish.
He has fished in many of the great fishing destinations around the world including: New Zealand, Chile, Argentina, Tasmania, Iceland& Slovenia. When he isn't fishing he normally has a camera or a paintbrush in his hand in an effort to capture the beauty of game angling and his work has appeared on magazine covers and newspapers. This is Keith's first time tying at the Irish Fly Fair and will be at the GAIA stand where he will be happy to have a chat and give advice on tying techniques.
